My Why
I love Everything about the birthing process..
Ever since birthing my first child as a teenage girl, it was the most beautiful thing I'd ever experienced/saw....
I knew then, I wanted to be in those spaces.
Ever since my first supported birth <22 years ago, I've had many since then>
I walked with you her, massaged her , catered to her every need, affirmed and prayed over her, held her legs- and after he was born, I got to cut his cord...
The overwhelming feeling of love and joy I had was pure bliss.... I knew I would be in those spaces...
And as an adult, a woman of color, seeing the disparities of black and brown women compared to every other race was not only disheartening, but disgusting-
I knew I HAD to be in those spaces.
A little over a year ago, I decided it was time to get back to what I LOVE, what my purpose in this life is, and what gives me pure joy and happiness- because every time I see those little faces, it is literal Heaven on Earth 🌎 ❤️
